Made in Australia, Muirwinches have been available in Europe for some time through a distributor network. Now they’ve gone a step further, establishing a European head office – currently near Torquay, and moving shortly to Shamrock Quay in Southampton. Though they’ll continue to supply through distributors, Muir are geared up to take orders and are offerina substantial reductions to customers who take advantage of the service. Not that they’re aiming for the budget end of the market. For example, their CRC 850 – a 12-volt capstan windlass is suitable for a 85-footer. Curent price you will find through any quality online boat equipment website, or online boat equipment store.
